08. May 2026 – At the Plastics Recycling Show Europe (PRSE) 2026 in Amsterdam, BB Engineering presented its technology portfolio for PET recycling, with a focus on textile recycling and melt filtration. Highlights included the VacuFil Visco⁺ PET recycling system and the COBRA melt filter.

BBE’s PET recycling line VacuFil Visco⁺ combines gentle large-area filtration with precise IV adjustment and enables applications ranging from bottle-to-bottle to 100% fiber-to-fiber. The patented key component, Visco⁺, is a liquid-state polycondensation delivering a particularly homogeneous melt with a viscosity of ±0.01 dl/g and operates up to 50% faster than comparable systems. The system covers throughput rates ranging from 150 to 4,000 kg/h.

With the COBRA filter, BB Engineering also introduced a system that combines continuous large-area filtration with automated, chemical-free intermediate cleaning. Two filter cartridges with automatic switching ensure stable and uninterrupted operation even under high levels of contamination. The integrated cleaning system reduces operational effort, melt loss, and energy consumption. All of this makes COBRA a highly efficient filtration system with comparatively low operating costs.
