COBRA Filter

COBRA Filter
The expert for challenging filtration tasks

Efficient. Simple. Safe.

A self-cleaning and automated, continuous large-area fine filter - this filter was specially developed for demanding filtration tasks with high levels of contamination, particularly in PET recycling. Multitasking is the keyword: COBRA combines large-area fine filtration with fast and effortless intermediate cleaning and is therefore able to cope with higher levels of contamination than conventional cartridge filters.

White Filter Cleaning®

Longer service life, safe operation, less wear, less cleaning effort and overall higher efficiency – all this is provided by COBRA’s integrated White Filter Cleaning® technology. And it works very simply: when the critical filter pressure difference is reached in the producing filter, production is switched to the standby filter and intermediate cleaning starts in parallel without chemicals, but with superheated steam and without manual effort. COBRA carries out the cleaning process completely independently in a closed system so that the operating personnel do not come into contact with molten material. The filter insert is therefore ready for use again very quickly without having to be removed,* the service life is extended many times over and the components and wearing parts are protected.

*Only after multiple cleaning cycles with White Filter Cleaning must a full cleaning be carried out.

COBRA vs. conventional filters

  • Integrated cleaning and automation
  • Less material loss and wear compared to backflush filters
  • Significantly larger filter area than screen changers
  • Finer filtration than screen changers and laser filters
  • Longer filter service life and lower temperatures during cleaning compared to pyrolysis
  • Significant savings in operating costs
  • Better flux rate and therefore longer service life
