TRE Brussels 2026
26. May 2026 – As an exhibitor at the Textiles Recycling Expo in Brussels, BB Engineering showcased its portfolio of machines and components for recycling PET textiles. Under the headline “100% Fiber-to-Fiber,” the VacuFil Visco+ recycling plant and the COBRA filter took center stage at the event.
BBE’s VacuFil Visco+ recycling system combines gentle large-area filtration with precise IV adjustment, enabling effortless 100% fiber-to-fiber recycling. Various in-house tests yielded convincing results in the spinning process that were in no way inferior to those of virgin material. The patented key component, Visco+, is a liquid-state polycondensation process. It produces a particularly homogeneous melt with a viscosity of ±0.01 dl/g and operates up to 50% faster than comparable systems. The system handles throughputs ranging from 150 to 4,000 kg/h.
The COBRA continuous large-area filter sets a new standard for efficiency. Two filter cartridges with automatic switching ensure stable and uninterrupted operation even under high contamination levels. This is supported by automatic, chemical-free intermediate cleaning. With reduced operational effort, melt loss, and energy consumption, the service life and durability of the filter media are extended. All of this makes COBRA a highly efficient filter system with comparatively low operating costs.
BB Engineering’s first-time participation in the TRE trade show in Brussels was a complete success. We saw a great deal of interest and conducted numerous valuable discussions, which once again underscores the relevance of our products and solutions in the context of textile recycling. It was a successful debut on this platform, which is still in its youth in its second year.
