December 2021 – BB Engineering, as a German medium-sized machine building company, has been manufacturing components and equipment for synthetic fiber and film production for more than 20 years. For some years now, the company has been focusing its development work strongly on the recycling sector. Dr. Klaus Schäfer, Managing Director, and Matthias Schmitz, Head of Engineering Recycling Technology, discussed with the Turkish trade magazine Tekstil Business how the supposedly very different business fields intertwine and how the recycling business benefits from the existing know-how from extrusion and spinning.
